171 Little Hemingfold Hotel Overview
Little Hemingfold is set in 40 acres of farm and woodland down a half mile bumpy farm track just 1 1/2 miles south of Battle. It overlooks a two acre spring-fed trout lake with a jetty for boating and swimming.
A part 17th century early Victorian farmhouse with a relaxed and informal atmosphere situated down a ? mile farm track. It is an ideal base for visiting the many historical sites, gardens and castles nearby.
The hotel is set in 40 acres of its own farm and woodland with two-acre spring-fed trout lake and grass tennis court. A boat and rod are available for residents, who may also wish to have a swim! There are three public golf courses within minutes of our property. You may bring your own dogs to walk through our bluebell woods and follow bridle paths to the Battle Great Wood and the 1066 Country walk.
Treat your pet to one of our ground floor courtyard rooms, some with log-burning stoves! Enjoy endless walks in the adjoining countryside. Don't miss the Bluebell wood in late April and May. We have twelve individual en suite bedrooms, 2 sitting rooms (one with a piano), an intimate bar and candlelit dining room where we serve farmhouse breakfasts and four course dinners using fresh produce, some from our garden during the season.

Pet Travel Tips:
- Before leaving, check to make sure the hotel accepts pets. And check either our on-line advertisements or directly with the hotel, to find out any restrictions, fees, etc.
- Also find Emergency Veterinary Clinics in the area to which you're headed.
- If the pet travels with you, it will retain a sense of identity. However, pets can become frightened and bolt away from you out of open doors and windows. Keep your pet on a leash when outside your car or hotel.
- Occasionally travelling can upset your pet's stomach. Take along ice cubes, which are easier on your pet than large amounts of water. It is recommended that you keep feeding to a minimum during travel. More pet travel advice...
